Conclusion

Chalmers Family Cork

We remember our Ancestors

Long unknown and forgot

May we recall with pride

Their incredible courage

Grappling with Nature

With their meager means

Of sustenance

Their cabins cold and bare

On lonely hills and valleys

Recall their dogged hope

That one day

 Their children’s children

You and I

Would see a better day

Enjoy a better home

A better land

A better life !

Have we been true to them

Have we the same hope

For our children’s children?

Our Plans!

Decisions!

Actions!

What world

Will they create

For Our children’s children?

When They look back

And ponder Our world

Their ancestors

You and I

Will the pride swell in their hearts

Or the anger and frustration

Destroy their Spirit?
